Start here: How To Use LUTs With Lumix Lab
Hello! If you are here I am assuming you, like me, are into or learning about how to use LUTs with their Lumix camera.
Either way, welcome!
So, let’s dive right into this post on how to use LUTs on your Lumix camera!
First of all you need to make sure your camera is compatible with The Lumix Lab App. Right now the S5 II, S5 IIX, G9 II, GH7 and S9 are compatible, but it never hurts to check Panasonic’s site to see what future cameras will be compatible too: https://www.panasonic.com/global/consumer/lumix/lumix-lab.html
Loading LUTs directly onto the Lumix S9 was a selling point for me. The easiest way to do this is within the Lumix Lab App.
Step 1: Once you open Lumix Lab, go to “Download” tab and find a LUT you like and download it. As soon as you do this you will find the LUT will be available to use on the images in your “Gallery”.
Step 2: If you want to send the LUT to your camera though, you will need to connect Lumix Lab with the camera.
Step 3: Once connected, go to the “LUT” tab and select your downloaded LUTs and send them to your camera.
Once that is done you will be able to find the LUTs on your Lumix camera!
Nice!
If you would like get a LUT that isn’t in the Lumix Lab App, no problem. You can download the .cube file to your phone’s “files” and then, back in the Lumix Lab App, you can go to “LUT” and in the top right find the download arrow. Click that and select the .cube file you’d like to download, and then pick up at Step 2 above.
I will note that if you download a LUT from Lumix Lab, the app will automatically apply the photo style to the LUT. However, when you add one yourself Lumix Labs will ask you which photo style to assign to the LUT. Many times the LUT creator will indicate which style they suggest using with their LUTs so that is best way to go when you can!
Once you get the hang of this process, it’s easy breezy, but as always I’m always around to help if you need! So feel free to hit me up with any questions you may have!
Lastly, I’ve made four LUTs myself and have provided them below for FREE! Woo hoo! They are four basic looks that anyone can use and are perfect for practicing the above steps with!
Enjoy and happy shooting!

Gulf Blvd LUT
My Gulf Blvd LUT was inspired by the Gulf Blvd strip in West Florida. Its warm, low contrast, pastel blues is perfect for a hot summer day at the beach. I shoot this LUT in the Standard photo style and I like to add a little grain to give it an analog look.
600 Block LUT
My 600 Block LUT is inspired by the vibrant murals of the 600 Block in St. Petersburg, FL. It is as contrasty and bright as the wall art and its bold reds and greens and clean blues will make any sunny photograph pop. I shoot this LUT in the Vivid photo style.
Cafe LUT
My Cafe LUT, named after my favorite coffee shop in St. Pete. This low contrast, high detail look is perfect for a dreamy coffee date, or simply reading a book in your favorite cafe. I shoot this LUT in the Standard photo style and I add a little grain too.
Central Ave LUT
Lastly, my Central Ave LUT is inspired by the heart of St. Pete: Central Avenue. Central Ave’s hustle and bustle and harsh shadows pair perfectly with this LUTs punchy, high contrast. This LUT is great for street photography, and I shoot it in the Standard photo style I add a little more grain than the Cafe LUT to give this a strong analog feel.
